According to the dictionary definitions, a parasite is one who lives on or in an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutriment. A parasite can also be a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others, without giving any useful or proper return; as one who lives on the hospitality of others.
Psychic parasites exist in our everyday existence. It is very easy to fall into the clutches of such a being. These entities are interested in only one thing: sucking the energy out of another. This energy can be emotional or mental energy or it can be physical energy-- the representation of this energy would be such things as love, time or money.
The psychic parasite has a system to entrap its hosts. It creates an illusion around its host. Inside the illusion are the things that the host desires or is interested in. It is these very things that are used as the bait for entrapment. Once the host is surrounded by the illusion he finds it very difficult to extract himself from it because the attraction is like an uncontrollable compulsion. If he looks outside of the illusion, everything appears dull and uninteresting whereas inside the illusion all is exciting, interesting and attractive. Meanwhile the psychic parasite is enjoying the sucked out energy it obtains from its host. The illusion the psychic parasite casts around his host comprises that which the host wants or needs. The illusion attracts the host and surrounds him with irresistible sensations and promises. On the rare occasions when the host is capable of perceiving outside the illusion, all he sees is dullness, dreariness and boredom. All the excitement and action appear to be inside the illusion and thus the host continues to indulge in the false reality he is experiencing. He continues committing violations against his principles, morals and integrity.
The psychic parasite does not consciously cast the illusion. It is something that automatically happens and is part of its survival pattern. The psychic parasite does not have to be an actual living entity as it can also be something inanimate such as a casino.
One can imagine a casino as a kind of giant parasite. Each of the slot machines inside the casino is an energy sucker of the parasite as are the gaming tables. The giant parasite sits there day after day sucking up the monetary energy of all who visit it. If you examine the example of the casino parasite, you'll find the same parasitic pattern being used. The casino casts an illusion based on hope and it makes the inside of its illusion exciting and colorful. Those who go often to a casino are more than likely caught up in the casino illusion and find theirselves unable to control the compulsion to feed the casino parasite. However, once the host realizes what he is supporting, he can free himself if he so chooses. However, the illusion is often so attractive, it is difficult for the host to resist it, especially if there are others around him who are in agreement with the illusion.
Another kind of psychic parasite is the womanizer. He will cast his illusion which is designed to entrap an unsuspecting woman, especially if she feels she is not attractive. The womanizer will wine and dine her and make her feel like she is the most attractive woman in the world but all along, the psychic parasitic womanizer is after something usually sex, money or both. He feeds on her emotional needs.
H3>One example of a psychic parasite womanizer involves a man in his 50's. He was interested in only one thing--MONEY! He wasn't all that good looking and in fact was a homosexual and hated women. However, he would still go after any woman he thought had money. He was capable of producing a strong sexual attraction as part of the illusion. The woman who got caught up in his illusion not only found herself mysteriously attracted to him but also would think that he was going to help her in some kind of business enterprise. He would tell her that his expertise was free and all she had to do was be an associate of his. His modus operandi would be to get the woman interested in his enterprise and to put her interests on the back burner. Meanwhile, he would use her monetarily getting her to pay for various incidental things such as dinners for his business contacts, making his mortgage payments, etc. He would continue using the woman until she either ended up being broke or she eventually caught onto what he was doing and was able to break out of the illusion he was casting. It didn't matter to him if the woman was married or not, if she was good looking or not. In fact, even though he was a homosexual who hated women, he would marry a likely victim for her money. In all cases, when he found out the woman no longer had any money, he would throw her away and begin his search for another victim.
In terms of identity classification, the psychic or energy parasite is a loser type who is attempting to climb out of that classification by preying on others.
